The teacher builds the difficulty level gradually over multiple weeks. for example, the chasse tour jéte, which is a common step in grand allegro combinations. The teacher started with a very slow chasse and one fouttee, then progresses to chasse with two fouttee, then chasse with one fouttee and one tour jéte. This makes the steps feel natural, and pleasant to do. Another thing about the class is that sometimes there are Boston ballet dancers recovering from injuries in the class, it is very enjoyable to observe professionals in close distance.
