see all reviewsGreat beginner class for ex-dancers!! As an ex-dancer, I was looking for a beginner class that did not walk through all the basics and this was perfect! (Not for a truly beginner beginner dancer) She will help correct a movement if you are doing moves wrong which was hard for me to find at home in an adult class!! Vanessa makes the space feel so inviting and warm! It’s honestly great to speak Spanish with her and feel at home <3 She loves to welcome everyone, say bye to them on their way out, and get to know their name so it’s truly a personal experience.

I can’t stand when instructors don’t correct form. 10/10!!!

see all reviewsI missed this class. I had to take a little hiatus for a bit and I’m so glad to be back. This class has really helped me learn more about my body, where I hold tension, improper form I unintentionally have and how it manifests in the various pain I have. I’m in my 40s and started getting back to the gym a year ago because of how my body was feeling. I felt it aging with my neck & back pain. I think what I’ve learned in this class has carried over into my general life. In the past, I didn’t realize how much tension I was holding in my neck, shoulders, and elsewhere. I’m often making postural checks throughout the day and I think that has made great improvements in how I feel. I did not have the body awareness before to make these adjustments. Hopefully eventually I’ll just more naturally have proper alignment and form without having to constantly readjust. I think this class will get me there!

see all reviewsBlake is obviously really seasoned as an instructor and is comfortable directing the room. There’s always a sense of everything going off without a hitch and according to plan. We move a bit more quickly than I’m used to—even for vinyasa—but it’s still a manageable pace. Generally, class structure starts slow, then picks up a little speed with each iteration of the flow, then there’s a point where the repetition sort of locks into your muscle memory and it’s almost like we’re doing a kind of yoga choreography, hit the peak pose (which Blake demos at the beginning of class), and then winds down and caps off with a longer savasana/meditation. Accommodating and friendly vibe. I always leave with a bounce in my step!
