The thing I wish they would change is the "weight lifting" portion. these quick movements with little weights are just not that effective and it's pretty impossible to keep good form while frenetically throwing a 3lb weight around. This is so common in classes that women predominantly go to. It always bothers me lol so maybe I'm being too critical, but I just think it's a waste of time in the class. Other than that, love the class and studio.

For the first half you are like “this is pretty mellow…I got this…maybe just a sip of water.” Then the sweat starts rolling down your back, the pep starts to leave your step, spinning is out of the question, and your water bottle is empty. I never leave exhausted…just sweaty and confused how I got so worn out. I love it.

I forgot to bring water and was losing steam (pun intended) halfway and Shavone checked in on me and brought me water, vibes were immaculate, music on point and class was challenging but could be easily catered to beginners. Will definitely be back!

Each class has a mix of newer people and long time participants and they’re all so nice and welcoming. A little more about this class - it’s very dance cardio/zumba-esque with a few different styles mixed in. The dances aren’t teach as you go, but you’ll pick up on them quickly! There are always options for accommodation. In each class, 4 songs are reserved for dumbbell arms and one for squats. It’s an awesome full body workout, accessible while being as challenging as you want it to be and FUN 💕
